"This album dispenses with the sombre while ratcheting the savage up to an almost unbearable degree. I’m not complaining though, as this album provided a brisk 24 minutes of furious MARDUK-style face blasting.
They waste no time in sinking their fangs into you, ripping and tearing away like rabid wolves for the duration of the album. Brevity is key here, and I have no doubt that if the album had exceeded the 35 minute mark it would’ve lost a significant amount of momentum. “Furious Angels” sets the tone with its razor-sharp tremolo picked riffs and endless waves of blasting, and although they incorporate a few scattershot Death Metal elements here and there, the songs don’t stray too far from that cold, hyper-blasting aesthetic. The DM elements are quite cool, though, lending a strong BEHEMOTH-like feeling to songs like “Symbol of Depravity” and “Embracing Your Inner Self”. Things get especially cool when Furious switches to a deep growls on these tracks."
